2009 Marlborough Show
19th May, 2009
In a strong line up of cattle at the 2009 Marlborough Show, 77 head consisting of Brafords, Charbrays, Droughtmasters and Romagnolas were exhibited before Judge Renee Rutherford in the "All Other Breeds" section of the show. With Beef Australia 2009 commencing only 2 weeks later, each class was large and the competition tough.
However, the Pullen family of the Wyoming Romagnola Stud was lucky enough to be successful in taking out the Grand Champion Female broad ribbon with exhibit Wyoming Bindi. This was not the first time that Bindi had been the recipient of this award ath the Marlborough Show. In 2008 as the Junior Champion Female, Bindi beat the Calf Champion and Senior Champion for the top prize.
In awarding Wyoming Bindi the Senior & Grand Champion Female, Judge Renee Rutherford commented that Bindi's structural correctness, udder development and outstanding heifer calf at foot made her the complete package.
