The Land Northern Beef Week
15th May, 2008
Walcha Romagnola breeders Paula Lawes and Garth Wilson will once again open their Wing Valley Romagnola Stud to visitors for the NSW Northern Beef Week on Tuesday the 17th of June 2008.
Paula and Garth will have a selection of Romagnola cattle on display including Stud full blood and purebred Romagnola females with calves, weaner bulls and females as well as some working age bulls. They will also have a great line up of Romagnola/Angus cross cattle and Romagnola/Shorthorn cross cattle.
All cattle will be on display from around 9.00am to 4.00pm on the day, with Paula and Garth hoping that the day will see some interested society members popping in for a look and a chat. They also hope to have the opportunity to meet new and interested breeders who are keen to try a Romagnola.
Directions: Turn off Thunderbolts Rd (this is the Walcha to Uralla Road) to Moona Plains beside Walcha showgrounds, big signs there showing many destinations including Moona Plains (there is also a sign for Wing Valley in white on blue). Travel out of town about 6kms, take the turn-off to the right for Moona Plains (Wing Valley sign here also), travel another 20kms and turn right to Wing Valley, the shearing shed is about 1.5kms along road.
For further details please call Paula or Garth on (02) 6777 8117.
